Mail, Outlook and Mac OS X 10.3.9
Posted by dom on Tue Apr 19 12:31:05 +0200 2005My mother has a friend. Sadly that friend is using outlook with only HTML content. So what she gets is bad bad email, with only HTML content and tons of <FONT size=”2”> tags in it. Really bad.
Nicely up to now there was a simple fix: provide a custom CSS file to deal with this malformed bullsh*t. Here is how you do this. Sadly this does not work anymore due in Mac OS X 10.3.9. In Mac OS X mail always overrides the WebKitUserStyleSheetLocationPreferenceKey on every start with some strange UTF-8 direct content. Setting MinimumHTMLSize or WebKitMinimumFontSize doesn’t work either. Help would be greatly appreciated!

So here I am googling for a solution to this, and I find only others seeking a solution.
Perhaps now that WebKit is open source, someone can add a new preference key, like UserStyleSheetThatWontBeClobberedBySatanWorshippingUserHatingMailAppDevelopers?
