Google is now actively warning about “malicious” pages. As you can see at stopbadware.org Google doesn’t just place a “bad” button next to your search result, but it shows you a page that looks a lot like a 404 to tell you to not go there, and if you really want to you can find the link further down.

Call me paranoid, but I think that is evil. Just imagine the damage caused by a wrong entry?

And very interesting, stopbadware actively reports that www.ThemeXP.org is evil but if you google for it, ThemeXP.org is the very prominent first hit which doesn’t get the nag screen. So just started and already some disconnect between google and stopbadware – what will stop anyone from making arbitrary decisions there?

  1. A little off-topic, but this needs to be seen. Made my day :)
